An atelier of slow journeys

Southern Atlas was founded in Mauritius as a private travel house for those who consider travel more than a destination — guided by intention, pace and attention to detail.

The most memorable travel is not the most extravagant, but considered — a candlelit dinner on a sandbank that appears only at low tide, a private guide who once tracked rhino for the same family three generations ago, a dhow captain who knows the wind by name.

Drawing on ten years of quietly orchestrating journeys for private clients across the Indian Ocean and the African continent, Lauren composes each itinerary herself — by hand, in conversation, and with the knowledge of someone who has been there many times before.
